About

Me and More Than Eggs

My name is Joyce.  I am eighteen years old and More Than Eggs has been the repository for pictures I have taken (of varying quality) of food I have made and/or eaten (of varying quality) since December 5, 2010.

Technical stuff

My main still camera is a Canon EOS 1000D DSLR, although I do also use a Sony Cyber-shot point-and-shoot and my iPhone 4 occasionally.  I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 to edit my photographs.  For videos I use a Sony HDR-CX150 and edit with Adobe Premiere Elements.

The story

Once upon a time, I was a baby.  I liked food.

Fast forward a decade or so.  I still liked food.  I wanted to learn how to cook food.

My mom taught me how to make scrambled eggs, because scrambled eggs are easy.

So I cooked lots and lots of scrambled eggs.

Then I decided to be a little more ambitious and cooked something other than scrambled eggs, and my dad said, “So you can cook more than eggs!”

And the title of a food photography album was born.

Fast forward a little more and you hit that fateful day in December, when I made a new WordPress blog and wrote my first post.

It was not about food.

But the all the other ones are.

Enjoy!

  1. YAAAY! You’ve joined the foodblogging world!

    I look like a lion digging into a zebra when I eat, haha! It’s usually not a good time to interrupt (;

    I have been inspired to blog again!…Maybe later…ooer I should be studying…

    • YAAAY!

Hahahaha, are you guys on study leave yet? We get a full month but that just equates to three weeks of laziness and one week of intense cramming for me 😐
